beautiful. So here are some cosmetic recommendations ,happening
colors ,and hot tips!
Devon's Cosmetic Recommendations
:
Foundation
: Mac studio fix one step foundation
for day and evening.This product doesn't require a powder and
has an incredible matte finish. All women that I have used it
on have loved its no make-up feel.
Eye
Shadows :
Laura Mercier has the most blendable
shadows . Mac also has great shadows available in a wide array
of colors.
Mascara
and Liquid eyeliners : For years I have used L'Oreal products
for mascaras and eyeliners .I feel they have a great formula
that doesn't smudge and their eyeliner brush has such a fine
point it makes drawing those fine lines so much easier.
Blushes
: Mac
has such a palette of wonderful colors. They also blend so well.
Lipsticks
and Lipliners : Mac
has the smoothest liners that glide with ease. Their lipsticks
stay on for long periods of time and they have colors for every
mood.
Happening
colors
FUCSHIA ( HOT PINK ) AND PINK
DEEP PURPLES AND COLBALT BLUE
BROWNS AND ORANGE
SILVER AND GOLD
METALLICS IN ALL THE COLORS ABOVE AS WELL.
EYEBROWS
Eyebrows are the
most important feature on your face. They frame your face and
open your eyes. So here are some great tips for achieving the
perfect arched brow.
1.To measure the
the length of your brow you should take the end tip of your make-up
brush and place it at the lower side of your nostril and position
the brush straight up. Dot lightly where stem of the brush hits
the starting of your brow. This is where your brow should start.
Then move brush over at an angle going over the the middle of
your eye and place a dot lightly where the stem of your brush
now hits at the top of your brow and this should be the highest
point of the arch .Then move brush over to the outer corner of
your eye and dot at the end of your brow bone this is where the
end point of your new brow should be.
2.Then take a white
eye-liner pencil and before plucking outline the brow shape you
desire by shading in the portion of the brow you don't want.Then
pluck the brow hairs that are only shaded with white.
3.Then take a beveled
eyebrow brush and dip into an eye or brow shadow that best matches
your hair color. Lightly start to fill in the remaining brow
to desired shape. If you desire you can also fill in wth brow
pencil,but I suggest using shadow first because if you mess up
it is easier to correct shadow.
FOUNDATION
Foundation should
give a glow that radiates for skin that an infant would envy
try these tips.
1.Always moisturize
before applying foundation.
2.Always use sponge
to apply foundation and pat on not smear.This gives more even
coverage and no streak marks.
3.For summer you
can always spot base for lighter coverage.
4.If your not using
a foundation powder in-one and you require a powder then take
a powder puff and desired powder and press and slightly roll
puff on face to set foundation.Remember to pat not smear while
performing this technique for smearing will remove the foundation
you just applied . This
is a great tip for eliminating large pores.
EYES
Eyes are the windows
of the soul and If beautifully made up can be more expressive
, alluring , and convey a sense of mystery. Here are some tips
for great peepers.
1. When applying
your foundation lightly dab on eye lids and set with powder .
This makes
blending eye shadows easier.
2. For day a simple
blush of a desired color over entire lid using a shading brush
can make a subtle statement.
3. Then take an
eyeliner brush with desired color and line top and bottom lash
lines. Remember softer is sometimes better.You may also use a
eyeliner pencil but I feel that shadow is easier to blend for
day.
4. Then take desired
mascara and lightly brush on top and bottom lashes. Remember you can always
add more but to much mascara can cause clumping and be very unsightly.
5.Then to open
the eye even more take a sponge applicator and silver eye shadow
and lightly dab silver on lower corner of eye nearest nose. Be
sure to blend for subtlety .This
tip also creates a more youthful appearance.
BLUSH
Blush can add a
sense of color to your mood and glow to your spirit. These tips
can help to create the cheeks you have always wanted .
1. Take a blush
brush and desired color and gently dab blush to cheeks .A helpful
tip is to smile ever so slight as you move your brush pressing
harder under the apple of your cheeks and then softer as you
come towards the middle of your ears and on top of the apple.
2. Also apply blush
light to temples ,chin ,and nose using same brush.
3. For added glow
for the summer you can use a metallic powder or cream and light
rub on to the ball of cheek with sponge or tips of fingers
LIPS
The mouth is how
we communicate are needs and desires. All attention is on it
when doing so. Here are some tips that are sure to bring luscious
lips to your conversation.
1. Take lip liner
pencil and draw a fine to medium line following your lip line.
For larger lips slightly draw
over your
natural lip line .
2.Then take lip
brush and fill in with desired color. Remember that a lip brush
will help aid you in creating perfect lips every time .
3. With a sponge
applicator ad a metallic gold or silver to the middle of your
top and bottom lips and blend for a pout.
Now that I have
given you some basic make-up tips for day. I hope that you will
start to gain the confidence to becoming the new you. In my book "Double Take "
